Rules and Guidelines
General Guidelines
1. Originality: All submitted artworks must be original creations of the artist.

2. Artwork Identification: Each artwork must be clearly labeled with the artist's name, the title of the piece, and any relevant details.

3. Sales and Commissions: Artwork may be available for sale during the show. The art show will retain a 0% commission on any artwork sold by submitted artists.

4. Theme: Artists must adhere to the theme of the show (Defining Black Bodies) when submitting art pieces.
Art work
1. Submission Sets: Art submissions should be entered in sets of two. Each set is considered a single entry.

2. Quantity Limit: Artists are allowed to submit up to 4 pieces. As the quantity selected increases, the sizes of the pieces may vary.

3. Size Specifications: Ensure that the sizes of the submitted pieces are appropriate for display. Note that selected pieces may be displayed in varying arrangements, so consider the overall presentation.

1. Online Submission: All submissions must be made online through the designated submission portal. Ensure that the provided information is accurate and complete.

3. Selection Process: Submissions will be reviewed. Selected artists will be notified by February 14 days after the closing of the submission!

1. Gallery Arrangement: Subversion Events may arrange selected pieces in diverse combinations for an engaging display.
2. Curatorial Discretion: The curatorial team reserves the right to make decisions regarding the arrangement and presentation of artworks.
Content Restrictions
1. Inappropriate Content: Artwork containing explicit, obscene, or inappropriate content will not be accepted.

2. Discriminatory and Hate-Related Art: Submissions must not contain any content that is racist, homophobic, or related to hate crimes.
​
3. Respectful Themes: Artists are encouraged to express themselves freely within the boundaries of respect and cultural sensitivity.
